At Parallel Worlds ("Parallel Worlds," "we," "us," or "our") we take your privacy seriously. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and disclose information when you use our websites and related applications — including Earth, Quantum Dashboard, Angel, Worlds, and associated products (collectively, the "Services").

What Personal Data We Collect

1. Information you provide

  • Account registration — Email, name, phone, and profile details needed to create and manage an account
  • Authentication — Passwords (hashed by our auth provider) and optional authenticator-app factors for multi-factor authentication
  • Organization details — Company or team information when you subscribe to business plans
  • User Content — Worlds, media, pins, messages, and files you upload
  • Support & contact — Messages you send via Contact, Help, or support channels
  • Optional preferences — Notification settings, cookie choices, and similar selections

2. Information collected automatically

When you use the Services, we may automatically collect:

  • IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, and approximate location
  • Usage data such as pages viewed, feature interactions, and session timing
  • Diagnostics and performance logs that help us keep the platform reliable
  • Map and globe queries (places you search or fly to) processed to render Earth

3. Location, maps & live feeds

Earth may process coordinates, place searches, Street View requests, and 3D globe views through map providers (including Google and Cesium). Public camera and transportation feeds shown in the product are third-party sources; we display them for the session you request and do not use those feeds to build a dossier about bystanders.

4. Payment information

We do not store full card numbers. Payments are processed by third-party providers (such as Stripe) under their own privacy practices. We may retain subscription status, plan type, and billing metadata needed to fulfill your access.

5. AI features

If you use Angel or other assistants, prompts and relevant context may be sent to model providers to generate a response. Do not include secrets you are not authorized to share. We use this data to provide the feature you requested and to keep the service reliable and safe.

How We Use Personal Data

We process your data to:

  • Provide, operate, and secure the Services
  • Authenticate access, including multi-factor authentication, and manage subscriptions
  • Deliver briefings, alerts, and product communications you request
  • Improve performance, reliability, and usability
  • Detect fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • Comply with legal obligations

Legal bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR or UK GDPR applies, we process data as needed to perform a contract with you, to pursue legitimate interests (security, product improvement) that are not overridden by your rights, with consent where we ask for it, and to meet legal obligations.

Data Sharing

We do not sell personal information for money. We may share data with processors who help us run the Services (hosting, authentication, payments, email, maps, AI, analytics), when required by law, or to protect the safety and integrity of users and the platform. International transfers

We and our processors may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.

Retention

We keep account and billing records for as long as your account is active and as needed for legal, tax, and security purposes. You may request deletion as described below; some records may be retained where the law requires it.

Children

The Services are not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

  • Access, update, or delete account data via settings or by contacting us
  • Manage cookies via Cookie Settings
  • Opt out of certain data sharing via Do Not Sell My Personal Information
  • California residents may request access, deletion, correction, and non-discrimination; we will not deny service for exercising those rights

Data Security

We use encryption in transit, access controls, and secure hosting. Multi-factor authentication is available in account settings and is strongly recommended. No system is perfectly secure; see our Security page for more detail.

Governing Law

This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory local privacy law applies.

Changes

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date will change. Material changes will be posted here or notified through the Services.
